Education

Children between age 6 and 18 are required, by law, to go to school in Manitoba.
 
If you are a Permanent Resident, Canadian Citizen or have a work permit, the cost of your child's education in public schools is paid by the government. The location of your child's school depends on where you live (this is called a catchment area).
 
We are here to assist you with your child's school registration and your own educational needs.
 
Post-Secondary Education
Five Manitoba Universities and college are right here in Steinbach! In fact, you can take your entire first year university without driving to Winnipeg.
 
Eastman Education Center located in Steinbach offeres university, college and agricultural courses from the following educational partners:

  • Providence Universtiy College
  • Assiniboine Community College

Adult Education
The Eastman region is host to a variety of education programs. These programs are for adults who wish to complete the requirements for a high school diploma or for those that need certain courses as pre-requisites for university or college entry.
