Job Description

Remote contract interpreters provide on-demand phone interpretation in multiple languages. Flexible hours, work from home, and support clients through three-way calls. Applicants must be fluent in required languages and reliable.

Cantalk is a Winnipeg-based Language Service Company with over 25 years of experience offering interpretation, translation, and customer & technical support services across Canada.

We are currently seeking interpreters fluent in multiple languages to join our remote network. Interpreters will receive calls to their phones as needed — they can log in whenever convenient and work as many hours as they choose. As contractors, they will be prioritized for incoming client calls when logged in. Alternatively, they can stay on-call (without being logged in) and be available during chosen time frames — with no obligation if unable to answer. We also offer scheduled (pre-booked) interpreting calls. All calls are three-way or conference calls involving simultaneous interpretation.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery, vehicles, equipment, and facilities. The nature of the position requires the maintenance technician to strive to have a strong mechanical aptitude, technical skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Reporting To: Maintenance Manager

Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery, vehicles, equipment, and facilities (e.g., lubrication, filter changes, belt adjustments, inspections).
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to restore safe and efficient operation.
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and breakdowns.
• Conduct safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Work closely with the maintenance team and operations staff to coordinate activities and minimize downtime.
• Communicate daily tasks and priorities with the Maintenance Manager.

Skills Required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or a similar role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical skills with knowledge of equipment and maintenance practices.
• Ability to diagnose issues and perform effective repairs.
• Basic electrical knowledge preferred.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to quality workmanship
• Capable of working independently and as a part of a team.
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license.

• Competency in building detailed Capex budgets.

• 10 years’ experience (or more) of major contract negotiations in the Fleet Asset field.

El Tigre and Whitetail Farms, located near Niverville MB, are currently seeking a full time maintenance technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily maintenance support of the barns.

Responsibilities as follows but not limited to the following:
– preventive maintenance on generators, pumps, washers, fans and motors
– installation/repair of feedline and waterlines
– basic welding of crates, pens and stalls / operation of hand and power tools
– knowledge of environment controls in both farrowing and gestation
– make adjustments and minor repairs to ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems and contacting local contractors for major repairs
– troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to equipment / perform safety checks
– organize and maintain inventory
