Your days will include:
- Processing bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls accurately and on time.
- Issuing final payments and Records of Employment (ROEs).
- Managing employee advances and responding to inquiries from employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
- Updating and maintaining employee information in HRIS systems.
- Assisting with year-end tasks, including issuing T4s.
- Handling garnishments, collections, and Service Canada inquiries.
- Entering new hires into the payroll system.
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- Grade 12 education.
- Willingness to obtain a certificate in Payroll (completion of payroll courses or programs is an asset).
- Prior payroll processing experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of labor laws, CRA rules, and general payroll best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
