Eastman Immigrant Services is looking for a part-time ESL teacher for our Spring term from April 1, 2024
– June 28, 2024 with the possibility of extending into July & August.

 

Responsibilities:
• You will be paid for 9 hours per week which covers:

  • Preparing and teaching two 2-hour lessons/week
  • Lessons are from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday
  • Lesson content is provided but will need to be adjusted based on varying student levels in the    classroom
  • Submitting lesson plans and attendance weekly
  • Communicating regularly with the Lead Teacher

• Attend one teacher meeting in Steinbach at the beginning and end of the term
• Maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere in the classroom

 

Required:
• TESOL certificate from a certified Canadian school (a similar degree plus experience from a
foreign country may be considered)
• English as a Second Language (ESL) teaching experience
• Minimum English level of CLB 11
